2023 Community solution summit recap
Thank you to all who joined us for the inaugural Community Solutions Summit, presented by PeaceHealth. This year’s event focused on the important work the Eugene Chamber and community partners are doing to address our homeless, housing and public safety crises.
We appreciate all speakers who were able to share their wisdom and insights- you can see each presentation here:
How you can stay engaged…
- Join our Business Leaders Task Force -- receiving regular updates about our Homeless Initiative & invitations to attend meetings with experts and community leaders. Email [email protected] to join the list.
- Support our Workforce Development Efforts -- if you hire warehouse workers or industrial sewers; have interest in developing part-time low barrier jobs (or best practices to share); have ideas for other training or pilot programs; or general interest in getting involved -- email Sylvia Barry ([email protected]).
- Join a Tour -- We are putting together another series of tours to see some of the incredible work that is happening in our community. Please take 2 minutes to fill out this poll and tell us what tours you are interested in.
If you would like to get involved or stay updated on the Eugene Chamber Community Development and Advocacy work, reach out to Tiffany Edwards, VP of Policy & Community Development ([email protected]).
Thank you to PeaceHealth, City Club, Chambers Construction, EARS and all of our annual sponsors for making this day possible!
Special thank you to our Endeavor Eugene sponsor, Kaiser Permanente. Together we are committed to building a more welcoming community where Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) individuals feel like they belong and are valued. We will do this work by assisting businesses in creating more inclusive and diverse workplaces, using our resources to assist BIPOC business and community leaders to help them succeed, and celebrate the diverse individuals and ideas present in our region. Additional support is provided by Chambers Construction and Northwest Community Credit Union. To learn more about Endeavor Eugene, please visit www.endeavoreugene.com.
