The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has named the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce the
2026 Chamber of the Year — one of the most prestigious recognitions in the chamber profession, and the first time an Oregon Chamber has won it. The award was announced July 21, 2026, during ACCE's Annual Convention in New Orleans, where the Eugene Chamber competed against chambers of similar size and scope from across North America.

WHY WE DO THIS
A single mom finally able to afford child care so she can take the job she wants. A young professional who can afford to rent in the neighborhood he grew up in. A family finding a path off the street and into stable housing. That is economic prosperity.
It is also just being a good neighbor. We believe a thriving business community and a thriving community are the same thing. Not two separate goals. The same goal. That belief is why the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce exists. We are not just a business organization. We are a community organization.
We advocate for policies that open the door to opportunity for more people, not fewer. We convene partners who would otherwise never sit in the same room. We take on the hard problems, not just the easy wins. And we do it because we want everyone in Lane County, business owner or not, to live a happy, healthy, prosperous life.
This award recognizes that belief in action.
