honoring MIKE COUGHLIN
Mike Coughlin is well-known for his business leadership and community investment. As a property owner, developer and business leader, his ventures—such as Amazon Corner, Citizens Building and the historic McCracken Building—have significantly contributed to Eugene's growth and vibrancy. Beyond his professional achievements, Coughlin's deep commitment to civic service is evident in his extensive involvement in nonprofit organizations and advisory roles, including SquareOne Village, Cornerstone Community Housing, and Relief Nursery.
Over the years, he has also played pivotal roles in organizations such as the United Way of Lane County, the Eugene Public Library Foundation, and the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation, where he was instrumental in fundraising for the RiverBend Hospital. Coughlin’s efforts have left an indelible mark on Eugene’s housing, healthcare, and educational sectors.
Coughlin’s innovative approach extends beyond business and philanthropy. As a founding member of Summit Bank and leader at organizations like Burley Design and Kerr Concentrates, he has cultivated opportunities for economic growth and sustainability in the region.
“Mike exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and leadership that defines a Eugene First Citizen,” said Brittany Quick-Warner, President & CEO of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce. “His ability to unite diverse stakeholders for the betterment of the community has made Eugene a stronger, more compassionate place to live and work.”

Thank YOu to our Title SPONSOR
As Eugene’s only locally-owned and operated bank headquartered in Eugene, we value the importance and significance of the Chamber community. We appreciate the energy that businesses bring into our city every day. We have the honor of being the Title Sponsor for the Celebration of Business for nine years and counting! This is the event where the business citizens of Eugene honor a First Citizen and a Future First Citizen. Congratulations to George Russell, who, over the decades, has contributed to the success of Eugene and its citizens. Congratulations on being named First Citizen. It is remarkable how much you have accomplished. Thanks to all of the businesses, nonprofits, public entities and their associates who continue to give back to the Eugene business community every day.
