Who We Are
Supporting Measure 20-297
In November 2018, Eugene residents will be voting on a $319.3 million bond to pay for repairs and maintenance of existing facilities. The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce supports the bond measure and the business community’s commitment to investing in quality education and resources to support our public education system.
The cost of the bond is approximately $135 annual for the average household and will provide resources to replace outdated facilities that will accommodate future growth. Funds will also provide for more appropriate facilities to suit the current and growing needs, modern technology and increased safety and security for students and staff. This bond can only be used for capital improvements such as facilities, equipment, curriculum and technology.
The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of providing a quality education, preparing our future workforce and supporting the economy and strongly supports the passage of the 4J Bond Measure, Measure 20-297 this November.
