Eugene Chamber Latino Business Network Promotes Latino Business Growth and Success

In February 2006 the Chamber launched the Latino Business Network. The network was created to support the growth and success of the growing segment of new Latino business owners and managers in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Once a month the Chamber Latino Business Network (LBN) has a meeting that offers customized programming geared toward the needs and interests of Latino business leaders. The LBN is also a place where Latino business leaders can come to exchange information with their peers. Last year the Chamber held nine LBN meetings at various locations that focused on tips from successful Latino business leaders, business education (such as marketing and finance) how to access local business resources, and promoted networking among Latino businesses.  

The LBN is also a good point of entry for Latino businesses that may not already be involved with the Chamber and other businesses in the community.

Nelson Rosales, the current chair of LBN attended a LBN meeting last July and became passionate about promoting the mission of the group. “I want to help my fellow Latinos” shares Rosales, the 2007 Chair of the Latino Business Network and co-owner of three Rodeo Steak House Restaurants. Since attending that first meeting, Rosales has become active in the LBN and other areas of the Chamber. “When we combine the expertise and support of the Chamber with the involvement of a dedicated group of Latino business leaders we’re in a great position to help strengthen the community.”
