Chamber members are the lifeblood of our organization. The committees and task forces created represent major areas of concern to our business community. Each committee, in its own defined domain, helps pursue the Chamber mission and improve the quality of our community environment.

Ambassadors
Ambassadors attend business grand openings, ribbon cutting ceremonies, and serve as the official welcoming group at some Chamber events.

Economic Development Council
Members of the Economic Development Council are appointed by the Chamber Board of Directors. The group meets to forward Chamber policy and strategies designed to strengthen the local economy.

Emerald Awards Nomination Committee
Evaluates nominations of businesses for the Emerald Awards, an annual celebration that recognizes local businesses for making positive contributions to the health and vitality of our community.

Finance Committee
Finance Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors to provide oversight and policy direction to the Board regarding the financial operations of the Chamber.

Future First Citizen Committee
The Future First Citizen Committee recognizes outstanding school and community service through the sponsorship of the Future First Citizen Award and scholarships for local high school seniors.

Greeters Committee
The Greeters meet weekly to learn about area businesses and events, and provides opportunities for business and social networking for Chamber members. The Greeters offer several special events and goodwill trips throughout the year. Joint Chamber Golf Committee
The Joint Chamber Golf Committee organizes and presents the annual Joint Chamber Golf Classic for the members of the Eugene and Springfield Chambers of Commerce.

Latino Business Network
Designed to promote the success of Latino owned and/or managed businesses. Participants will gain information, advice and mentor one another.

Local Government Affairs Council
The 25-member Local Government Affairs Council (LGAC) is appointed by the Chamber Board of Directors. LGAC meets on a weekly basis to review and take action on public policy issues that impact the local economy. Members are welcome to attend. Vacancies are announced in Chamber publications.
