Local Measures Promote Economic Health

Investing in community infrastructure that supports economic health is central to the Eugene Chamber’s support of three local money measures to be decided by voters next week. The Chamber’s position on local ballot measures is:

  • The Chamber supports Measure 20-142, Lane Community College’s $83 million bond measure to fund facility renovations, upgrades and remodels for workforce training and education.

  • The Chamber supports Measure 20-137. A renewal of Eugene School District 4J’s Local Option Levy at the same tax rate for another five years to June 2015.

  • The Chamber supports Measure 20-145. This City of Eugene Measure would provide $35.9 million over the next five years to fix approximately 70 miles of streets and 3 miles of off-street bike paths.

For more information on our positions on issues and candidates, check out the Chamber’s blog.

Business-to-Business Opportunities in Chamber Business Resource Directory

Ad sales have begun for the Chamber's 2009 Business Resource/Membership Directory. You'll want to consider an ad in the directory - it will be distributed to nearly 5000 local businesspeople and will include expanded resources for businesses of all sizes. Call the Chamber, 484-1314, or send an email to Anne Michalski to request more information.
