Downtown Revitalization - Lead advocacy efforts for appropriate economic development incentives and tools that aim to drive downtown revitalization and job creation.
EWEB Riverfront Redevelopment - Promote the successful redevelopment of the EWEB riverfront property and advocate for necessary tools and incentives to realize the Riverfront Master Plan.
Industrial Lands - Support initiatives that increase the supply of industrial lands, prepare those lands for development and provide financial development incentives that increase our region’s competitiveness.
Positive Business Climate
The Eugene Chamber advocates on behalf of businesses for local and state policies that enhance and protect a positive business climate.
Tax Reform - Ensure tax liabilities locally and statewide are reasonable and contribute positively to the business climate.
Regulation - Advocate for business regulations that are efficient, simple to understand and implement, and provide certainty for local businesses.
Education and Workforce
The Eugene Chamber believes strategic efforts to improve the quality of our local education system are critically necessary to provide the skilled workforce and quality of life to support business growth and economic vitality of our region.
Pre-K Through 12th Education - Explore regional efforts surrounding education improvement and identify barriers and opportunities for Chamber involvement and support.
Quality of Life and Livability
The Eugene Chamber supports high impact initiatives and projects that increase our community’s livability, enhance safety, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life in our region.
Public Safety - Support initiatives and projects that expand capacity for enforcement and prosecution of current laws, celebrate the service of public safety workers, and improve the perception of safety across the community.
Homelessness - Work to purposefully identify and define the Chamber’s role in addressing homelessness in our region.
Parks and Open Space - Advocate for adequate maintenance and improvements to existing parks and open space throughout our community.
The Eugene Chamber will advocate for transportation policies and infrastructure improvements that reflect regional needs, take advantage of market-based solutions, and expand funding resources.
Bus Rapid Transit - Advocate for public transportation that promotes economic development along transit corridors, reflects regional service needs, and considers a system-wide approach to expansion that prioritizes corridors that deliver strong return on investment.
Transportation System Plan - Support for comprehensive transportation planning that meets state guidelines and improves our region’s eligibility for state and federal funding.
Governor's Transportation System Plan - Continue involvement on statewide committee to explore and encourage statewide transportation improvements.
